VE Day!  Monday May 5th at the Cock and Rabbit
VE Day (Victory in Europe Day, 80 years ago , of course) is officially Thursday May 8. But we are celebrating it in conjunction with May Bank Holiday on Monday 5th May. The event begins with a Service of Remembrance in Lee green, followed by a barbecue at the Cock and Rabbit at 1pm, with Blue in Green providing the music.
We may allow ourselves a brief period of rejoicing.

3)   Music and Poetry at Bradenham Church
We took part in an Autumn-themed Poetry and Music concert at Bradenham Church on Saturday 19 October. We have had concerts there before but the poems, brilliantly read by residents of Bradenham, added another dimension to the music. The poetry was arranged by Richard Langridge and included pieces by Robert Frost, Tennyson and Pam Ayres. It worked really well.

Listen to part of the second half here.
